Emotional Intelligence

There is a large body of evidence linking emotional intelligence (EI) and behaviours associated with leadership effectiveness. High levels of EI can predict leadership success because it enables a person to manage their own emotions well and understand and tune into the emotional needs of others. Raising awareness of and developing the competencies that constitute EI can significantly enhance an individual’s management and leadership skills and bring benefit to themselves and their organisation.

Philomena’s first-hand experience of working in a large organisation was invaluable when I was discussing particular scenarios that impacted me.
