I worked with Philomena at a transitional stage of my career where I was seeking new employment. She helped me to realise my strengths and values as a person and as an employee and supported me in establishing my desired career path. She guided me with her empathetic, encouraging and professional nature and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a career coach. She worked with me on methodologies for developing an effective CV, interview preparation techniques and on establishing my personal goals, values and work ‘style’.

The course was very structured and organised. The tools and techniques were excellent, really practical and usefuI. It was very interactive and Philomena was very engaging and professional. I also picked up quite a few tips from the other participants on the course. The atmosphere was relaxed and the classes flew by which is always a great sign.

Philomena was engaged to design and deliver two workshops to all the staff of our school on the topic of values.  The brief was to explore and identify our school values and our personal work values.   Philomena put everyone at ease with her professional, warm, positive and engaging approach.  This approach yielded very interesting and positive participation. Above all Philomena facilitated a very safe environment in which personal values could be openly discussed.  Philomena applied her extensive experience in business to the school context.

I was stuck in a bit of a rut when I contacted Philomena. She opened my eyes to a number of different things, both professionally and personally, and helped me through a difficult time onto a new chapter in my life. She is friendly and kind, is a great listener and always had practical and useful advice, from preparing for interviews to dealing with self-criticism. I feel that I am in a much better place now to identify and deal with future ‘ruts’, but know that I can contact Philomena again if I need any extra guidance or support

Although Philomena and myself I would say had a good connection, it was the redirection back to the connection with myself that makes Philomena so good at what she does.  She helps find what is already within and it has made such a difference in my life. I find I am looking to the future with less fear both at home and in work.  I give attention more to what’s important than trying to change things which are none of my concern.  Thank you Philomena for sharing your insights which perhaps only comes through experience”

Mark Callaghan, CEO, VIP Taxis

I engaged Philomena at a midpoint in my career when it was time to make a number of decisions about direction. A key part of our program was to identify the areas of personal development that would help me on my way to achieve these goals and in particular with a view to taking on more senior leadership roles. Philomena’s first-hand experience of working in a large organisation was invaluable when I was discussing particular scenarios that impacted me.”

I was at a cross roads in my career and reached out to Philomena at the end of a career break. Initially, I wanted help with my job search, but as we worked together she challenged me to explore what I was really looking for out of work. She acted as that sounding board, which allowed me to hear myself articulate what I wanted to do. It was an absolutely rewarding and engaging process. I intend to maintain contact with Philomena, to support me through future work and life challenges”

Philomena delivered four sessions to our youngsters (16 -21 years old) on CV making and interview skills. Her professional and positive approach was outstanding. She definitely has a great knowledge and experience regarding mock interviews, interview techniques and CV making skills. She engaged with our youth group very well and her interactive presentation and different games presented during the sessions provided a great learning environment where everybody felt included.  Philomena to deliver this kind of workshop in any youth club.”

Philomena and Justin facilitated their workshops entitled “Everyway Wellbeing” over a period of 4 weeks (October/ November 2016) in Leixlip Library. From the start their dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism was evident. The sessions were full to capacity with a waiting list. Interestingly there was minimal fall off in the numbers attending over the 4 weeks. All participants appeared to enjoy the workshops, and feedback to the library was very positive. I have no hesitation in recommending Philomena and Justin and their gentle approach to Everyday Wellbeing. They have a unique interpretation of self improvement, one which appears to be accessible to all.
